Leaving the Rockies
And it was snowing!

I saw snow in the Rockies! It started at about 9am and I couldn't see the mountains from the balcony at all! You would not have known they were there.
We left an hour later slightly concerned about what sort of journey we would have. It was slow and long but thankfully the snow turned into rain. It was a bit too wet to stop and stretch our legs much. We ate our salmon roll overlooking toilets to one side and Mara lake to the other!
Did I mention that all signs are in French as well as English?
We saw a black bear but again I didn't have time to take a photo. Saw several deer on the roadside too. Rather a dangerous place to tuck into their lunch!
The journey took nearly 7 hours. At one point it felt like we would never get back to Peachland. Gail has driven about 1,600 miles in the last two weeks. John O Groats to Lands End is over 800 miles and if you asked me to drive that, I'd think you were mad but Canada's so large and everywhere is a long distance away. Gail's done brilliantly and I really appreciate her being my guide.
We watched episodes 3 and 4 of Bridgerton tonight having watched the first 2 of series 3 the previous night. I do love the dresses; I was born in the wrong era!
So, I have just a few days left in Canada. No more long road trips now. We will take things easier til I leave on Tuesday. In a way I feel like I've been here a long time and in another way two weeks have gone very quickly.
