A few days at work, then...

it's time for my Canadian adventure!

A few days at work, then...

I go down to the Heathrow area on Thursday. So soon! Started packing today. I'm using compression bags, and I love them!

Started as a permanent employee at work on Friday - after almost 5 years of temping! It was a good day = started with fixing some broken links, then I reviewed a new website providing comments on accessibility and some general issues. Then I taught a group of staff how to create better documents in Word - I've trained over 280 people now, and deleted 3,500 old online documents. I feel I'm making a difference. Also trialled Copilot. It's great in meetings - you can get a list of action points, and even ask what questions remain unanswered! I used it to create a powerpoint presentation on accessibility - it literally took seconds! And I used it to help me put together a mini campaign for accessibility awareness which takes place in mid May. Poetry is involved! I also used poetry to persuade my team to come in to the office when I have to be there for my induction. It worked!

So I thought I'd try Chat GPT on poetry. What do you think?

In the midst of folding, and tucking things neat,
My suitcase holds dreams, ready to greet.
Canada beckons, with adventures in store,
As I prepare to journey, to explore.

Three and a half days, a brief span to go,
Till work fades away, and freedom will flow.
In the depths of my bag, anticipation thrives,
As excitement ignites, and worries take dives.

Gail, my dear friend, a beacon of light,
A reunion awaits, so warm and so bright.
Through cities and forests, our laughter will ring,
As together we'll dance, and memories we'll bring.

Yet, a whisper of worry tugs at my mind,
Travelling alone, a challenge to find.
But courage will guide me, through each unknown,
With strength as my compass, I'll venture alone.

Canada's wonders, in beauty arrayed,
From towering peaks to tranquil glades.
Each moment a treasure, each sight a delight,
As I journey forth, into the night.

So pack up the fears, let excitement reign,
For soon I'll be soaring, across terrain.
In just a few days, my joy will restore,
As I embrace Canada's wonders, and so much more.
